Cookies x5

Our annual cookie baking was exceptional.  Lauren found two new recipes from teh Washington Post, cranberry orange sandwiches with an orange cream filling and toasted coconut chocolate drops...  We made the traditional cream cheese cookies, Norwegian sugar cookies with cardamom, and peanut butter balls.  Somehow it was the perfect amount this year.  Plenty to share and enjoy.

Notes for next year: icing for the sugar cookise is AMAZING with frozen OJ added to the confectionary sugar...  Drizzle effect is fast and effective.  Dole out "balls" of chocolate drop cookies BEFORE refridgerating, it becomes solid chocolate again if refridgerated...  Sandwich cookies are worth the time.  Wait until LAST minute to add the colorful dots to the cream cheese cookies, so the don't run.

Halina really enjoyed the paint by number!  Thanks to Gabi and Jullian for the fun break in evening routines.
