Events of this weekend: Jiffy lube, coffee shop, ER....
Yep, after a delightful afternoon with my Dad and I, Halina ended-up in the ER with Nursemaid's elbow - which is a dislocated elbow from "swinging". She actually set it back during the x-rays and was instantaneously happy. We got ice cream on the way home and that definately made everything better : )
Halloween we went to one of our first parties, a Halloween party at a daycare friend's house, Catherine's. It was decorated elaborately with themed food, halloween music on the computer, a huge spider on the ceiling of the kitchen, etc. Halina ran around and ate well. by 7PM we were back in our own neighb orhood and walked to a few neighbor's houses to trick or treat. Halina did manage to thank most people and did get the hang of reaching into baskets for candy (often taking more than she should). Our neighborhood is wonderful for Halloween, there were tons of family out, houses were decorated elaborately. Huntly, a street one block over, closes off and people have tents of food and fire rings to great trick or treaters. Returning home we had to wait 5 minutes to get inside our own house! (my parents were happily giving out candy to a long line of kids)
Last Sunday night we went to "Boo at the Zoo". We arrived by 5PM and the gates opened at 5:30PM. Halina sat in her wagon and we picked-up treats from a few tents that lined the zoo pathways. We met up with Becca and Anna and enjoyed an hour of walking around before it got dark.
On Wednesday, I went back to work. It was an incredibly long day, but I've enjoyed being back. It was good to go back for half a week to start.

Love the girls' Haloween costumes.
Busy and full week. Congrats on going back to work. I am sure it was bittersweet for you. How did Caroline do?
